The route takes you on the panorama road from Sorrento to Salerno. The curvy and small road leads along the coast and promises fantastic views over the golf of Salerno.
The scenic road takes us along the Mediterranean coast from Sorrento to Salerno. Over 72 km (44,7 miles) the drivers pass tiny villages and many sights. Often it’s worth leaving the given track and discovering the environment. All in all the road is quite small and curvy. The road was completed in 1850 and it’s situated between the cliffs and the golf of Salerno. Due to this fact, there are often traffic jams caused by coaches that have to maneuver elaborately. Along the road you can find many parking bays and terraces, where you can enjoy the magnificent view.
To avoid heat or interruptions plan the tip in spring or autumn.
Between Vietri sul Mare and Positano the road is closed for all kinds of caravans from 6:30 to 24:00.
It is also closed for big coaches (higher than 4 m, longer than 10,36 m) and smaller coaches are only allowed to drive in direction Positano to Vietri.
