St. Gotthard Pass-Oberalp Pass-S.Bernardino Pass
Oberalp Pass: the Oberalp Pass connects the cantons of Uri and Graubünden and is also known for the shuttle trains that operate throughout the winter season between Andermatt and Sedrun.
The San Bernardino Pass: the second most important connection route between the North of the Alps and the Canton of Ticino. The San Bernardino Pass, 17-kilometers long, connects the Mesolcina (Italian Graubünden) with the Rhine Valley. The most populated centers along this route are Chur and Bellinzona, capital towns of Graubünden and Ticino. The San Bernardino Pass is a valid alternative to the Gotthard Pass, especially in the holiday season, as both connect the North to the Canton of Ticino.
